Level 2 MSP Support Technician

Wheelhouse Solutions seeks Level 2 MSP Support Technician to provide remote support and occasional onsite support to client base. Technician will be responsible for managing alert notifications from MSP platform, diagnosing and resolving tickets based on the client Service Level Agreement.
Technician should be able to prioritize technical issues, manage assigned tasks, document time spent and resolutions, while demonstrating patience to describe cause and solutions to end users. Ideal candidates should be very organized with the ability to switch and resume tasks as required. Candidate should have excellent communication capabilities, both verbally and written, with the ability to thrive in an expanding team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate with customers politely and confidently through the process of fielding and gathering details to resolution and/or escalation for all end user requests
  • Quickly and accurately document time spent, troubleshooting steps and resolution for ticket completion
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and monitoring to client computers through managed services platform, while identifying and resolving detected issues.
  • Provide remote and on-site support to end users while applying analytical thinking with attention to detail
  • Monitor, manage and maintain support ticketing queue addressing all client requests and reported PC issues
  • Ability to work independently and with other team members jointly to complete assigned project tasks

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of IT Support experience
  • Microsoft Certifications and/or college degree in a computer-related field
  • Ability to manage client account information and documentation within business systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software issues, break/fix tasks, receiving and acknowledging client calls/emails
  • Ability to install, upgrade and troubleshoot Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems in domain and workgroup environments including user/PC migrations, applications and hardware replacement/troubleshooting
  • Experience with wired/wireless networks and basic networking protocols including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, WAN/LAN TCP/IP
  • Strong skills in installing, activating and troubleshooting Office software suite including Outlook configurations and migrations of Exchange accounts
  • Experience with managing Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 including Active Directory, Network Drives, Folder Permissions and shared printers
  • Experience with cloud computing in Hyper-V or VMWare
  • Experience in a network/voice technology
  • Circuit configurations and turn-ups
  • Experience with configuring/troubleshooting VPN and RDP services and other remote solutions

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Managed Services Platform experience a plus
  • Experience with Office 365 Exchange Online and OneDrive
  • Experience with backup and recovery solutions including cloud backup, Windows backup and server replication
  • Experience and understanding of firewall appliances including deployment and configurations
  • General knowledge of domain names and DNS records
  • MAC OS

Salary: $50,000.00 to $75,000.00 /year
